Africa is a fascinating place. Arms are seldom used for carrying. Most transporting is done on the head, usually with a piece of material shaped to be the perfect buffer between head and item being transported -- often a basin. The very young and the very old - especially females - engage in the activity. This particular girl was walking down a path to Wli Falls in Ghana near Hohoe. As I was walking near her, she said quietly, "Take my picture." So I did. And this was the result.

So when were you going to tell me about your blog? I'm the last to know about everything! Actually, Ben is the last to know about everything. I keep reminding him that Marianne is having a baby soon. You'd think he'd be able to remember, since the baby's due on his bday!
Oh, and I'd like to see more pictures on your blog, too. I know you have them!
